Dale Hollow Lake has a lot to offer with the great

Highland Manor Winery - Highland Manor,
Tennessee's oldest winery, is known for producing fine handcrafted
wines. The English Tudor building and classic cellar are evidence that
tradition runs deep at Highland Manor. While traditions are important,
it is also important to recognize progress in the wine making
equipment. Therefore, Highland Manor uses all stainless steel

Historic
Rugby - Time stands still at Rugby, Tennessee -
the restored Victorian village founded in 1880 by British author and
social reformer, Thomas Hughes. It was to be a cooperative,
class-free, agricultural community for younger sons of English gentry
and others wishing to start life anew in America. At its peak, some
350 people lived in the colony. More than 70 buildings of Victorian
design graced the townscape on East Tennessee's beautiful Cumberland

Alvin C York
Grist Mill - The park pays tribute to the
greatest Hero of World War I, Sgt Alvin C. York. The historic park
includes the York family farm, the grist mill he operated for many
years on the banks of the Wolf River and the store which he frequented
which now serves as a visitors center. Directions: Pall Mall is 10
miles north of Jamestown, TN on Hwy 127; about 40 miles from each of

Big South
Fork Recreational and Natural Area -
Encompassing 125,000 acres of the Cumberland Plateau, Big South Fork
National River and Recreation Area protects the free-flowing Big South
Fork of the Cumberland River and its tributaries. The area boasts
miles of scenic gorges and sandstone bluffs, is rich with natural and
historic features and has been developed to provide visitors with a

Colditz Cove
- Colditz Cove State Natural Area
is located in Allardt, Tennessee, just 1 mile off Hwy. 52. The 1.5
mile loop will take you behind the 60 foot high Northrup Falls. This
is a short and easy walk to get to hiking trail. |

Forbus
General Store - General Store since 1892 with
country warm atmosphere. Offering US made crafts, Watkins products,
cooking utensils, moccasins, tourist items, wicker baskets and unique
gifts. Specializing in homemade fudge and plate lunches. The store
also hosts the nationally renowned "Pig Tournament", a card game that

Ye Old Jail
-This century old building made of native sandstone is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places and is home to the the Fentress
County Chamber of Commerce. Hwy 52 West in downtown Jamestown, on the

Historic
Jamestown Courthouse - Burnt in 1905, much of
the original Fentress County Courthouse and history was lost. The
plans for the original courthouse was developed by Samuel Clemens. The
courthouse just received a new clock for the tower, something that had
been planned 100 years prior. In the heart of Jamestown, Tennessee
across from the Fentress County Chamber of Commerce and Ye Old Jail.

Cordell
Hull Birthplace and Museum State Park -
Historical site owned by the State of Tennessee, consisting of
Cordell Hull's original log cabin birthplace, and an exhibition
building housing documents and artifacts, including the Nobel Peace
Prize for Peace Medal. Hull's will provided for the placing of
artifacts and books from his private apartment in a museum which was
opened in Pickett County, Tennessee in September 1996. Picnic
shelters and grills as well as park area, so plan a day of

Cumberland
County Playhouse - This fine regional
performing arts center is one of the most active in rural America. It
offers professionally produced musicals, plays, and concerts in three
theaters on a lakeside site from February thru mid-December. Famous
productions include-Hello Dolly, Oklahoma, Man of LaMancha, Grapes of
Wrath-mix with Cumberlands culture-Smoke on the Mountain, A Homestead
Album, Quilters and much more. Visitors often have a choice of several
productions. Also the shady grounds around the Playhouse invite
picnics, and the Theater-in-the-Woods is a magical setting for
occasional summer evening productions. The Playhouse offers hundreds

Pickett
State Park - Offering 11,752 acres of
botanical, scenic and geological wonders found nowhere else on
Tennessee, 5 chalets, 5 rustic stone cottages, 5 wooden cottages, 40
campsites available, with table and grill, 31 with water and
electrical hookup, modern bathhouse, group camp offered, can
accommodate up to 144 persons, more than 58 miles of hiking, as well
as recreation activities, including a beautiful, cliff-lined sandy
beach which is one of the most beautiful and picturesque in the south,

Muddy Pond Mennonite Settlement
- Located in Hanging Limb, the Muddy
Pond Mennonite Settlement has a variety of family-owned businesses
offering baked goods, molasses, and leather productions. While at
Muddy Pond you can visit the Muddy Pond General Store, with quilts,
crafts, natural food and a deli, Bauman's Harness & Leather Shops, the
Muddy Pond Sorghum Mill & Store, where you can watch them make
molasses, and Bachen Haus Bakery, offering delicious breads, cinnamon

The
Variety Store is next to the sorghum mill and is
run by the Guenther family. Mrs. Guenther sells a unique mixture of
household items, baked goods and antiques. The Country Porch
offers unique gift shopping and homemade ice cream. The
Sorghum Mill, They love to have you stop and watch
as they cook molasses in September and October. The Leather
Shop is run by the Bauman family and is a favorite
for horse lovers. You can buy a saddle or dog collar or get a fancy
belt with your name on it custom made by Irvin. The General
Store has a wide variety of interesting crafts,
quilts, furniture and bulk foods. They serve a delicious sandwich and
people love their fresh fried apple pies.
